Practitioner's unmet needs of education in headache


Dr Tassorelli received a medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Pavia. She was an intern at the C. Mondino National Neurological Institute as part her training as an MD, completed her training in Neurology at the University of Pavia and then obtained a PhD Degree in Human Psychobiology at the University of Modena (Italy). She spent a 2-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Dept. of Neuroscience of the University of Rochester (NY). Coordinator and partner in competitive grants funded by the EU, the Italian Ministry of Health and the Italian Ministry of University. She has served as a director in the Board of the International Headache Society for 2 terms, she has collaborated for several years to the activities of the Italian Linguistic Special Interest Group and co- chaired the Scientific Committee of IHC 2015. She was a founding member in 2005 and vice-President for several years of the European Headache Alliance. She is presently the Chair of the IHS Committee for the Guidelines of Clinical Trials, associate editor of the Journal of Headache and Pain and Chief Section Editor of Frontiers in Neurology, section Headache Medicine and Facial Pain. Dr. Tassorelli has authored more than 260 peer-reviewed publications and coauthored several books and book chapters.
