Fabio Antonaci is currently Associate  Professor at the  University of Pavia, Italy.. At the present time he is working at the Headache Center and  the Neurology Emergency Department  at  the  C  Mondino  Foundation  in  Pavia.  He  has  been  Head  of  the Department  of  Neurology  and  the  Headache  Medicine  Centre  at  the  Policlinic  of Monza, Italy

Professor Antonaci received his degree in medicine at the University of Siena.  He then specialised in Neurology (University of Bari)  and Neurophysiopathology (University of Pavia), and completed a research fellowship (PhD) at the University of Trondheim in Norway.

Professor Antonaci has been President of the European Headache Federation (EHF) and is the Editor of EHF News.  In addition, he is a member of several scientific bodies, including the Italian Society of Neurology, the Italian Society for the Study of Headache (general Secretary), the European Headache Federation, the British Association for the Study of Headache and the Swiss Migraine Society and the European Academy of Neurology (chairman of the headache chapter).

He has authored more than 200 publications mainly in the fields of headache, facial neuralgia and autonomic dysfunction, pain research and kinematic analysis of neck movement. He is also member of the Editorial Board of International Journal in Headache and Pain. Professor Antonaci has also lectured extensively on headache and facial pain.
