Senior researcher at the Neurology, Public Health and Disability Unit – Neurological Institute C. Besta of Milano, Italy. Research interests focus on neurological conditions, chiefly headache disorders, and include the evaluation of patient-reported outcomes, the development of new measures and the validation into Italian of existing ones. Other research interest deal with ageing as a phenomenon associated to neurological conditions, the evaluation of the burden of disease and, more recently, the use of behavioral treatment for headache disorders: for this activity, he is CO-PI of an ongoing Ministerial phase-III RCT (the MIND-CM project).
He is editorial board member of BioMed Research International, The Scientific World Journal and of the International Journal of Rehabilitation Research, and ad-hoc reviewer for more than 30 journals including Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, Cephalalgia, European Journal of Neurology, Headache, Journal of Headache and Pain, and Neurological Sciences.
He is author of more than 150 scientific papers and more than 100 abstracts, H-index 22.
