Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC)

Founded in 1981, the Athens Concert Hall Organization is a non-profit-making organization administered by an eleven-member board of trustees, the majority of whom are appointed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Finance, and whereas three of them are appointed by the Friends of Music – also a non-profit-making charitable association.

The Concert Hall is a creative arena for cultural and educational activities, an arts center organized along contemporary lines to promote the role of culture in the community.

Arriving at the Venue

Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (Conference Venue) is situated in the heart of Athens and is easily accessible by metro, bus and cable trolley bus. Getting to and from the city center or other locations is quite easy:

• 3-5 min. from the city center or 2 stops away by metro
• 30 min. from the Athens International Airport

By Metro: There is a metro station right next to the main entrance of MAICC (Conference Venue) called “Megaron Mousikis” from which one can access it from both the airport and city center using metro line 3 (the Blue Line).

By Bus: The following buses, express buses and cable trolley buses pass by near the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (Conference Venue):

• Buses: 450, 550, 601, 603
• Express buses: X95 (direct airport line), A5, E6, E7, X14
• Cable trolley buses: 3, 7, 8, 13

The express bus line X95 (towards the direction of Syntagma) travels directly to Athens city centre every 30 minutes and costs €6 per ticket.

By Taxi: An average journey by taxi from the airport to the city center takes approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic and costs €38 (flat fare between 05.00-00.00h and €50 between 00.00-05.00h).

Megaron Facilities and Services

The Megaron offers a total of 750 parking spaces in the 3 story underground car park. Please contact the secretariat for parking charges.

All of the Megaron function spaces and halls have dedicated cloakrooms and all Foyer’s to all halls have their own bar.

There is a 24-hour security service for all the Megaron conference halls.
