Prof. Christian Lampl

Christian Lampl is Medical Director of the Ordensklinikum Linz, Hospital Barmherzige Schwestern, Director of the Headache Medical Center Linz and Chair of the Center of Integrative Medicine for Elderly. Prof. Lampl received his doctorate at the University of Innsbruck in 1990. Between 1998 and 2005 he was a senior physician at the neurological and psychiatric department at the general hospital in Linz. Prof. Lampl is current 1st Vice president of the EHF. Prof. Lampl is a fellow of five professional societies.

Dr. Lampl’s research is focused on: epidemiology and burden of headache (the Eurolight Project); tension-type headache; migraine aura as a possible risk factor for migraine headache; neuropathic pain and dementia with focus on elderly people. He has published numerous articles on headache and neuropathic pain. In addition, he has contributed to several book chapters.
Prof. Lampl is also an Ad Hoc reviewer for journals such as Cephalalgia, JHP, Headache, Clin J Pain, J Neurol and Eur J Neurology.
